Jackie Robinson's
1947 Contract

On April 15, 1947, Jackie Robinson took the field for the Brooklyn Dodgers — becoming the first African American to play in Major League Baseball in the modern era. His contract, preserved in the National Archives, is one of the most significant documents in American sports history.
